Hunter X Hunter

X

     Hunter X Hunter is one of my favorites and perhaps one of the coolest in manga. Gon Freecss stars as the lead character together with killua, kurapika and leorio. Gon left his native land and travels to find his dad. He joined the hunters' exam which leads him to meet the rest of the group. Although kurapika and leorio where in to a bad start, they were bound together of the same dream to become a Hunter.

     Joining the test was really a cool hunting experience, gon passes the exam and was on his way of meeting one of the greatest hunters of all time, his Father. The gang also battle against 'Spiders', and travels to greed island. I think the greed island episodes were one of its best.

     The Hunter X Hunter series still continues and gon is still up there to find his dad. Perhaps, Hunter X Hunter tops ONE to my List!

Gon, the main character also meets with perhaps one of the great antagonist in the manga, Hisoka (center large character with cards, the ruthless killing machine in the manga). No one really knows his true identity and intentions; sometimes he helps and collaborates with gon esp. during the greed island episode- the ball fight tournament against one the Greed Island creator. Irumi Zaoldyeck's appearance in the manga was also significant esp. to his younger brother Killua. Irumi also took the Hunter's exam together with gon but disguised himself until he appeared at the final test in the H exam (he is also a fearful assassin of the Zoaldyeck family).

The battle against Spiders (a.k.a Genei Ryodan), a group of thieves, was one of the finest and heartstopping actions in the series. Kuroro Rushirufuru (below, middle), also Kuroro Lucifer, led the whole group and massacred the kuruta tribe (Kurapika's tribe people) four years ago. That is why, kurapika has been dying to train himself to be able to level and deafet the genei ryodan. At the second half of the hunter X hunter episode, kurapika, being able to master his nen (type Gugenka)- a dangerous chain that binds its enemy by the heart.

Machi (the girl to the left of kuroro), is one the transformation nen user, involving threads in killing her victims. Although it seem vague because of the unpredictability of his character, hisoka seem to have and interest with her.

Hisoka is found in this photo but he actually seem to be a dummy member of the group. His intentions of being able to challenge Kuroro is perhaps the reason why he joined the group. After all, he always wanted to prove himself as one of the finest fighter in the manga.
